We saw lots of flooding on our trip to visit my husband's family. This was the most dramatic of the flooded rivers. When we arrived at the top of a hill on the interstate highway, we saw a wide river on both sides of the highway. It had flooded whole fields of crops to the east and to the west. The water was too close to the highway for me. I was glad that the highway was open and we were able to drive past this area.
P.S. The flood water was actually brown. The sky was dark with clouds. However, the water seems to be a nice shade of blue in this photo. I saw this in photo after photo that I took of the flood waters. I don't know if this was caused by my camera or by the reflections in the water.
