I saw this outside of the school where I mentor a student. Although I have mentored there for several years, I have never been there when the fruit falls off the trees and the leaves pop out of their buds at the same time. On the other years, the migrating birds eat the fruit before now. I guess the ripening of the fruit was not right for the birds this year.
