The weather is bitterly cold. It even snowed on Saturday! Now, we are having back to back hard freeze warnings. Some of the flowers are doing okay and others are showing weather damage. Since there is very little I can do about the weather, I am trying not to dwell on the damage caused to the plants by the bitter cold. I am grateful that this blossom is looking good.
I'm glad it's mainly just wildflowers up here - they've been pretty tough with all the frosty mornings - Our daffodils are about gone. This one is still looking quite pretty.
@maggiemae I did bring in some of the flowers. I just wish I could protect all of the plants. I still remember what one hard freeze night did to the hosta plants several years ago. We have had lots of back to back hard freezes lately. I will check out the plants on Thursday, once the weather warms up.
@jclaireyp Thanks. I hope your magnolia made it too. I do not think that the magnolia blossoms made it through this cold spell. I will check on them on Thursday, when it warms up.
Pretty blossom! I hope your flowers did ok with the cold weather. Some of them are pretty hearty but the freezing is what really gets to them. Nice shot!
