I planted six perennial plants (or perhaps they were biennial plants) years ago. They were supposed to bloom, but they never did. They have nice leaves, so I was happy to keep them in the flower bed for just their foliage. Much to my surprise, one of the plants shot up a flower stalk. This is what the blossoms look like close up. I no longer remember what the plant is called. I think the name started with a "B". I wish I remembered the name now, but I am very happy that one of the plants decided to bloom after all of these years.
Beautiful Daisy -- You were quite right - it does start with a "B" --it is a Bergenia and it has beautiful big leathery leaves , hence being called " Elephant's ears " !! Beautiful close-up and colour ! fav
