February 16: Maple Branch in the Snow

It was snowing when I took this shot. The snowflakes showed up as faint, tiny spots when I processed this to BW.
Great shot

And now the snow flakes are small tiny grey spots ! - Not an easy subject for the brief , but you have done well !

I don't think I have taken a snow photo in over 10 years. I love what you have done here.

I like how you've positioned it as a slant across the corner here. The speckles of the snowflakes add a little texture.

Like the corner of the branche into the pic. Beautiful negative space. I think I love this one the best.Fav.

The gray background make for utter simplicity in the composition of this branch!

Ah! I see the snow now! At first I didn’t as I am looking at it on the little screen of my iPod, but zooming in on the shot has revealed the snow, showing as gray spots. I hope you get some relief from the snow soon.

@beryl Thank you. The next time I am shooting a negative space/positive space series, I am certainly not going to select a maple tree branch for my subject.

@mcsiegle My area keeps getting hit by a long line of winter storms-one after another. I am beginning to wonder if there is an end in sight. At least, the snow is beautiful.
