Skeleton by danette

Skeleton

I have never seen a fish skeleton on the beach! This was a full fish from head to tail! I thought his teeth were interesting. I hope it's not too gory for anyone.
What a cool...but gruesome....shot! Very interesting jaw bones! Tried to view large, but your photos don't do that.

@lynnb Thanks for appreciating a gruesome shot! I do downsize my photos, do you think that's why you can't see them large?

Fascinating find!! A little gory, but hard NOT to look!! Great detail on the subject & the sand.

Wow, what a cool find! Love your composition, and the textures and details. A great shot!

@danette Not sure. I think it has something to do with the size format you save them as. I don't downsize my photos at all....sometimes as much as 8 or 9 MB and I have no trouble uploading.

@raineyday It is a little hard to NOT look! Thanks for your comments!

@myautofocuslife Thank you for your comments, Livia!

@lynnb Wow, 8-9 mb is large! I have a hard enough time with my computer space, even with a large hard drive.

@vesna0210 Thanks, Vesna.

@daisy thanks, Kathryn. I thought the teeth showed more here.

Great shot and processing. Looks like birds cleaned it out pretty well.

Wow! Cool shot!

Ian
Great shot.

@bardejov I, too, think the birds must have cleaned it out, but was surprised that not a bone was out of place.

@orangecrush Thank you, Jerry!!

@ianwm54 Thanks, Ian. A bit different for me!

@anazad511 I'm glad you can appreciate it, Ana, with all your amazing photos!

This looks like The Son of Jaws! I wouldn't want to try and remove a hook from its mouth!

@skipt07 That's kinda what I was thinking--razor sharp teeth! By the size, I was wondering if it was a Barracuda.

Hey, I took my kids to see "Lion King." This is just a "circle-of-life" sort of photo! ;)

@rhoing You are right! It is not my typical photo by any means. The whole fish was there, just in skeleton form. I have never seen one like that one the beach.

@danette BTW, I think the composition is just about right. There is no need to have the whole skeleton or carcass to get your point across or tell the story you want to tell. My 2ยข worth!

@rhoing 2 cents always appreciated! I was trying to emphasize the teeth/jaw, rather than a boring straight on shot. Thanks!
