Today's word was "bird" and I didn't think that would be hard, but I was swamped all day. As I left to go look at property at 6:15 PM, I took my camera. I knew the birds had been active lately, so I looked up in our tree (which doesn't yet have leaves). In came a Blue Jay, then two, then three! The Red-belliedWoodpecker really surprised me as I haven't seen one around in quite a while. Whenever I moved, he'd fly off. A little patience paid off!
@danette Hi, Danette! Published? I do not know how to do it. I simply made a printed photo album of them (about 20 shots, the best). More than that I supplied every photo with a rhyme suitable for this or that bird (sorry, in Russian). The rhymes are funny and for small children - in summer I'm planning to visit my daughter (she lives in another town) and hand it to my grandson (he's 4 now).
@anden I think that's a wonderful gift for your grandson. It's very special. There are ways to self-publish. A friend and I published an e-book in December through BookBaby.com. It's called "Clouds of Grace" and is available on Amazon.com along with other places.
@danette Thank you, Danette! I'm going to try your links. The only thing is to try to translate the rhymes into English - it'll be really interesting, I think.

@chrismarfil Thanks, Chris!
@loveroflola Thanks, Debi. I was happy to get one. Haven't seen one in ages at my house.
@mittens Thanks, Marilyn. I thought he was a red-headed woodpecker but I was corrected.
@billsouth This photo is in my Gumbo Limbo. She was actually eating something but I couldn't capture it. She flew off easily.
@henrir Yes, very hard. She kept flying off.
