Metamorphosis by danette

Metamorphosis

I noticed a caterpillar climbing the screen to become a chrysalis. When I looked up, I saw another one had already begun the process! How exciting. These will be Monarch butterflies. They are so pretty. The cocoon looks like a Gator's head. Go Gators! :-)

I suppose this would qualify for today's word of "twins" (loosely speaking).
Wow...we haven't even got milkweed showing thru the ground yet! Amazing what a difference a few thousand kilometres makes!! lol

That does look like a gator, your right. Haha. I also love the metamorphosis process....I made up a little song for my kids when they were younger so they could learn about caterpillars and butterflies...your photo reminded me of those days. Sweet.

More evidence that God is a Gator fan! You'll have to keep and eye on it and capture it as it comes out a butterfly!

@bardejov I have plenty of food for them along with places they will lay eggs.

@skipt07 I hope we didn't lose the one on the screen. I saw him today and later he was gone. I hope a bird didn't get him. The chrysalis is still there. Last time, I missed the butterfly emerge.
