Dear Danette — I'm so sorry. Our moms are each one-of-a-kind. Our hearts break and there's a hole that can never be filled. Faith helps, but in my case at least, the hole is never completely filled in again. My mom passed away 27½ years ago at age 54. My girls were 4 and 6, so Mom didn't get to see them grow up, go off to college, get married and make her a great-grandma. But our hope is in the Lord…
@rhoing Moms are definitely special. I'm sorry you lost yours so young. I lost all of my grandparents at a young age, which is why I stayed near my parents...so my kids would have grandparents near by.
