Fire's Fury by danette

Fire's Fury

The fires continue to burn. There are representatives from the Forestry Service stationed around monitoring the situation, while allowing the burn to continue. The access point I usually go to was closed last night due to abundant smoke. This photo was taken from several miles away on the opposite side of my town.
It's a super shot. I remember an episode of CSI Miami where this was happening. I really hope it will die out soon.

@marlboromaam it was super interesting talking to the Forest Service yesterday. While I was there, one of their planes flew over to mark the acreage burned (about 6000 for this one). We have relatives with a business about 2 miles from the fire. Another Forester was stationed at their place. While this happens every year, I’ve never seen the smoke so bad at my home. Praying for low winds and rain!

@marlboromaam @pamalama @seattlite @taffy @joemuli @pamknowler @joansmor @koalagardens @onewing thankful for answered prayers. The fire was headed for a relative’s business. They had fire crews stationed around the property in preparation. “Out of nowhere” came a big thunderstorm and put out the fire! Yay! Praise the good Lord!
