Metarie Cemetery

I could not believe the elaborate graves at this cemetery. This might have been one of the more impressive ones but they were all unbelievable.

My original thought was that this was a building commemorating people who died in a war or something on that order. Is this for an individual or family?

@skipt07 this is a family's gravesite. There are many hundreds that are spectacular. Typically, there are a number of family members buried on any one plot. They are all buried above ground because of the water table. It was truly fascinating.
