For this week's ETSOOI challenge, DOORS. Another castle trip and this uninviting/inviting doorway.
Of course the rule of this challenge is to go all out on the editing and immediately this led me to the sensation of being sucked through into something not so great on the other side or could there be a better world awaiting instead?
Thanks for all the comments on yesterday's image - it initially divided opinions on what it was all about, but eventually led to some positive comments and congratulations on trying something different. I'm still uneasy about the whole shot in general but glad i stuck with it!
I'm currently hosting the new abstract challenge for THREAD. This can be open to all sorts of interpretations: anything that is used to tie/attach. For example it could be a ball of string, wool, sewing thread, rope etc.
This runs alongside the normal mundane challenge of course so why not have a go and see what you can come up with? Would be great to see some of my followers having a stab at this and of course, it's another day ticked off your 365 Project calendar!
Please tag your entries ABSTRACT-THREAD
Inviting/uninviting door is a great expression for this shot. I think you have made it pretty inviting in a sort "dare I" sort of way. Cool processing.
Hat off to you for completing your project - a brilliant achievement!
Quite scary (the image, not the fact that you have completed your first year - congratulations), like the result and it does make you think about what could be on the other side :)
Darren wow! Well done I always look forward to your shots and this does not disappoint.
Happy one year Mr and I hope you keep going and keep impressing us all!
Congratulations Darren! What a hug accomplishment. Your photography is always inspiring! Hope you are going to stay around for year 2! Love this shot. The colors, energy and feeling all grab me.
Well done Darren, it's been great following you with your many fine images. Terrfific achievement.
I'll be sticking around - posting on Flickr now too though, so only gonna post regularly into one album here :)
