In Roswell, GA, old-time groceries like these still exist, but across the street the old-time gas station was torn down for another one of those live, eat, play, work buildings that contrast with the small town "feel" of the area. But Roswell is not a small town anymore, just feels like it at times.
I have visited this spot during the day and the evening--this one feeling more ominous than the desolation feel of the day time one. But, rest assured, the grocery still has customers all day with parking on the other side where the entrance is. I had to wait for one car to move from this spot to get the shot in the daytime. Worth the waits. I do wonder, however, when this building will be gone like the others.
