I have been helping my brother with a home search, and yesterday was a full day of going around Atlanta viewing homes. I was exhausted, rushing home to cook dinner when I spotted these two trying to take grad photos in full sun at Emory University in Decatur. I had my gear in the car, and my masks so I offered to take their photos for free. They were hoping to surprise their mother for Mother's Day with some photos in their regalia. They only had one cap to share. So I took shots of them switching the cap in various locations near the entrance to the University.
I sent the edited photos to them via email today. It felt good to do a nice deed for at least one couple of grads.
I then went home and prepared a great meal and drank some wine. It was an exhausting day filled with lots of emotion as I saw so many folks out in our state not donning masks or practicing social distance. I predict our state will see an awful surge again.
I worry about my friends in GA. Your state is sadly the experiment to see if opening up quickly is feasible given lack of testing, treatment, etc. Do be careful! And what a lovely story and result for the images. You are a good person!
Oh, what a fantastic shot and thing for you to do! Just wonderful. Ditto to what you said in my area of GA also. What are people thinking?? My entire family is high risk so we are still staying home. And wearing masks.
How scary for you Daryl! Please take care and stay safe! I don’t understand how so many people can take such risks with their lives and the lives of others! What a kind and generous deed you did today! Those youngsters will be thrilled with your images I am sure!
It sounds like a very productive day. What a wonderful thing for you to do! I know they will love them. Love your selfie in his glasses too!
Stay safe as there are many people with little or no sense wanting to affect those of us who have sense!
