My oldest daughter is serving in Americorps, and we hadn't seen her since July as she was in NC, FL, MS, and LA in her first months of service. Long story. We are super proud of this kid.
So, she came home, and tomorrow she leaves. She asked to play Rummikub at her favorite local coffee shop today. I forgot to put in the little stands in the box set. Long story why they weren't in the box.
So I used the papers from my itinerary for my trip to the Azores in September of 2022 (just still hanging out in my bag telling me "travel, travel, travel...) to use as blinders for the numbers each player uses to play the game.
And I went one more time to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription to once again find out the pharmacy is closed for the holidays. Oof. I can't win. But I "listened" to an online course about Photoshop (which I do not recommend doing). I'm going to just have to hunker down and get to step one: how to load and save in PS, find out how to use ONE tool. Based on what I "heard" today (like C and B and Content Aware, and reset), I did open a bunch of things and couldn't back out of most of anything because I had no idea what I was doing. Ha.
I also lost Rummikub! No surprises there.
Tomorrow, I'll reluctantly take my daughter to the airport so she can fly to MS, then travel to her next assignment in AL (she's on what's called "Forest Team" doing prescribed burns and fighting wildfires).
Love the image and your narrative.
My youngest has been involved, when she can between work, volunteering with the Rural Fire Service. She has assisted with a few hazard reduction and containment burns...it is long hard work.
A wonderful image of your daughter. You must be so proud of her! It all sounds very exciting! I have not heard of the game Rummikub. Google here I come!
