Hawks over the Fields

My daughter played in a tourney this weekend and came in 2nd place--tough finals (tied game went straight to penalty kicks--ugh).

Just before the morning game, I was sitting in my car because of the freezing temps, and I was also talking on the phone to my dad--then all of a sudden, hawks started flying over head--Swoosh! Swoosh! Screach! My poor dad; I put him on speaker phone while I grabbed my camera and zoom. Then I proceeded to say "Wow!" "Oh My!" while I did a horrible job trying to focus and talk. I have a multi-tasking problem apparently.

This is not a very good photo, but I love hawks so much now that I've witnessed them pretty often since picking up this project. Out of focus, yes, but so majestic with the sun shining through the wingspan! There were so many today!

@foxsparrow @judis Thanks very much! The Haiku is my mom's--apparently, I gave her access to my account and she keeps commenting as if she is me! I sort of like that. I call her Haiku Sue! Lovely mom!

@ragnhildmorland Aw, thanks so much! I don't have the best zoom, and clearly I was distracted, but some day, I'll get a really crisp shot! :)
