Had very little time to get a photo today, so back to the victory weed garden to get YET ANOTHER weed shot. It is late in the afternoon; it's a lovely day, and when the wind hits my apple tree, it allows a spotlight on this weed for only a second (otherwise, I'm all in shade at this point in the day).
So, I plopped myself down on the ground and leaned up against the fence waiting for the moment the light would hit this one strand, and pow, the moment arrived and my shutter was ready--Star weed for a split second!
@kaarina365 Thanks much! I was really hoping I did not have to alter the color much in processing and the purple is pretty true to capture! The light makes all the diff (and the shutterspeed).
@twistergirl Thanks Doris! The one thing I've learned from 365 (and especially chasing birds) is that patience is pretty darned required. I love that I've slowed down more!
It's amazing how lighting can turn an ordinary scene into magic! I think it's great that you knew what you wanted and waited for that perfect moment. It does look really fabulous! Great shot!
@pflaume Thanks Lisa, yes, the patience thing is new to me, but I'm really appreciating it. I wish I made a collage of the shots I took (some show light coming and leaving and not really getting there, but they are all out of focus really--didn't have time for the tripod).
@andyn I darkened it some more in Lightroom to really accentuate the light, but I try to use a fast shutterspeed so the light spots show up more dramatically!
