Wonder what a Macro Clip COULD do here...I'll know in a few days!
Ok, so this is not with a Macro Clip. But I had to try to take a photo as a "before" with the idea that when my macro clip comes, I'll be able to see the difference. Today, lots of bugs came to me--I think it was a good sign that I'll be getting some fun close ups soon. Not a "real" lens, but it is my first purchase since starting the project. Woohoo!
Such clarity! I have no idea why you need a macro clip when you can take a photo this good without one! That bug is so sharp it seems to float above the flower as if suspended in space.
Did you take this hand held? As you might find with the clip that you need a tripod to do insects as they will be so magnified that the slightest wobble will result in a blurred shot. Let me know how you get on with it, I find it great on flower shots.
@jo13 I did take this hand-held and I plan on using the clip with the tripod...that is, once I find my darned piece that attaches to the camera and the tripod. I swear, I'm all over the place and I cannot keep the piece in one place. I'll probably get the slider piece you talked about too. Just waiting to do one thing at a time!!! Excited to try something new regardless. :)
Lovely shot, great detail. That looks like an interesting gismo, I have screw in close up lens for some of my lens and am quite pleased with what you can achieve, keep us informed how it performs.
