The Fire Pit by darylo

The Fire Pit

After two soccer games, one daughter attended a pool party, and the other stayed home. I went to the grocery store to buy items for a "grill therapy" session. Get me working a grill, and all my cares slip away.

The weather is so amazing lately--cool, crisp, fall-like evenings. So tonight, before I fired up the grill, I made a fire in my new fire pit. I grilled steak, potatoes, onions, and mini-peppers (and sautéed spinach with olive oil, tamari, garlic, and toasted sesame seeds--yeah, I know, I'd be salivating too).

Staying with the "mono" setting with my camera, here is my FIRE SOOC. I tried to view on my laptop to check it, and well, I can't view well. Since my older daughter is using my normal computer for Minecraft, I'll have to trust this one comes out just fine. Want to see what I cooked, well, check this out: http://365project.org/darylo/didn-t-make-cut/2013-09-28

This is an amazing capture!

Because of the mono this looks like smoke. Fantastic shot, Daryl. I see the profile @vankrey sees too. Even better!

Great smoke shot, even if it is a fire. The monochrome works perfectly for the word of the day.

Definitely see a face
September 29th, 2013
Yep. you've got a full-fledged ghostbustersy face there, eye and all. Even before I saw it (and now that I have, I can't not), I liked this shot a lot. I've really enjoyed your mono week, in all its variety.

Is it fire, or smoke? Anyway - I see a face!
September 29th, 2013
@timandelke It's fire! :)

@danette @mzzhope @grammyn @taffy @robic @jaynspain @houdiniem @squamloon Whoa, who knew I was actually capturing the profile of a masked man? It's funny what I don't see and then do see (thanks to Michael!) . I have one photo of a fly, but it's really an aviator's face. Check it out if you have the time: http://365project.org/darylo/365/2013-06-24 @vankrey

Love the fly. Looks almost superimposed.

Did you ever see my Chewbacca banana stem? http://365project.org/squamloon/365/2013-02-18
