I can breathe. There is bokeh back in my life, and color! Played with ISO some this morning (and changing the focal point) while the squirrels dominated the fence, yard, and apple tree. Here's one I caught on the fence just posing away: http://365project.org/darylo/didn-t-make-cut/2013-11-18. I don't feed the birds, or other animals, but I noticed some tit mice feeding away on my dead basil, so if you think your old plants aren't food for the birds, think again. I love that so much of our natural setting provides much of what the birds and others need.
I'm no fan of squirrels or chipmunks, and I'm keeping my eyes on them--they can stay as long as they play in the yard and don't try to get in my attic.
What a perfectly captured apple! FAV! Funny in that it reminds me of the Japanese maple photo I took last week in the lighting, bokeh, coloring and composition. http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2013-11-02
PS I know what you mean about squirrels -- I had them break into my attic, and then dig their way into our previous house once . . . my daughter and I were listening to the sound, and all of a sudden, a paw came through the ceiling! In this house, we've had a squirrel get into the basement and gnaw through doors, and also build entire nests in the attic!
@mzzhope Thanks Hope. There is really very little color left these days and it was nice that the sun was shining so I could capture it! Barren days ahead.
@thomastoth not light enough for sunny 16 at the time of day but I was working off the principle when I was palying with isos today for comparison. So thanks for that!!
This photo is building momentum as more people see it. I especially like it since I was raised on an apple farm. It is well composed, has beautiful color, and is interesting to me. Fav.
