Culinary Evolution--ONS6, Advertising Photography

Just in case Cuisinart tries to copy my idea, all rights reserved! hahahahahaha!

Oh, Jerry, I think this one and the selfie will do me in. Who knows, but this was fun putting my "mixers" against the wall. They fell, cast shadows I didn't want (I used my phone torch to eliminate some shadows), and leaned(that fork just would NOT listen--typical).

My egg, well, it's like a half-moon at this point and I can't even figure out half of what I did in this shot, but clearly I am not cut out for this stuff in execution, but concept, well, now you could hire me for that I guess! LOL!

It's not too late to join in on the great fun of OneNightStand6: http://365project.org/discuss/general/20065/one-night-stand-six
Nicely done! There are ways and ways of getting everything in ranging form changing the lighting to HDR to manipulating it in Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop.

@steampowered The WHOLE time I was thinking "how can I get Paul to come to the states and give me a month's worth of lessons on PSE 10!" I have decided that next year is my year to explore the world of processing. This was processed in LR5 and I really do not know what I am doing. I wish I had time for tutorials, so it's all trial by fire for now. Thanks for your comments! :)

@markp @seejillrun @danette @orangecrush @m_olson @semjaja @cimes1 @salza @lucypics @nicoleterheide @aecasey Thanks all. These One Night Stands are challenging, but ohhhh soooo good for the desire to do something outside my comfort box. Tomorrow, I've got a concept. Execution will most likely be the worst part again--I don't have a remote to help out. But scheming...
December 4th, 2013
@jo13 not easy at all, and the dreaded selfie is coming. Oh, and just so you know, your selfie ages ago (the waking one) is still my all-time favorite!

@darylo Thanks Daryl, yes not keen on the selfie one, might pull a sicky that day!!
December 4th, 2013
@jo13 Or just provide a link to the one I'm talking about and say, "I already perfected that one folks!" :)

I have much appreciation for the creativity of the concept and execution. I rather like it. LR5 is by far my favorite processing solution. You said you don't have a remote for an upcoming shot. I realize you probably already thought of it, but would the timer suffice?
December 4th, 2013
@darylo If you shoot in Raw then there are so many ways to do things that I could show you. I would love to come to the States but I am not so sure that Donna would let me! :o)
December 4th, 2013
@rellimdj I do use the timer and I did for this shot and last night's, but I was thinking for the selfie I have to do Friday that a remote would really be a good thing. No one is here at my home office during the day, so getting the focus perfect means I have to construct some kind of dummy to be me (and it will most likely be off). I have a remote on my wishlist (hey Santa, you listening?). :)
December 4th, 2013
@steampowered Raw is on my Year Two list as well. Raw and PSE are beyond my comprehension. Oh, I would invite Donna too. I would be the best Bed and Breakfast host ever. :)

Joe
@darylo Ah yes, I see. I also have a remote on my Christmas list this year, along with a bunch of lenses and other nice things that my better half insists I don't need. We'll see if Santa will persuade her to get me at least one item off it. :-)

This is COOL! I loved your story about how you got the shot. And that RED mixer! I love a pop of color in the kitchen. I have a "Metamucil can Orange" tea kettler. It is this bright orange. I love it.
