A Photo of My Computer Screen Saver, Which is a Photo I Took Years Ago...
because it's 11 pm and I haven't had time to take a decent shot, what with the report I'm working on (when some of the documents will not download or print), the tracking down erroneous billing to my credit card from a viola shop since February (viola was given back in JANUARY), the request for being able to pay for a school activity in two payments instead of one to avoid overdrafting at the bank, the arrangement of being a featured "business partner" at a local school event to drum up new business, the writing of letters and cc'ing them to all the right people, the 45-minute commute to the high school to retrieve daughter from Xcountry (it's only a few miles away, but the roads are being repaved), the dropping off of one daughter to go coach the other daughter's team, and, finally, the sweet, sweet victory of my little rec team tying the "select" team in a scrimmage tonight.
So, yeah, this is what you get for a photo--a phone photo of a photo I took of crabs and shrimp and corn and sausages and potatoes. And they were mighty, mighty delicious too... almost 3 years ago!
@homeschoolmom I did forget to mention the sausages! Nothing beats a low country boil! We add crabs, but growing up, it was just the shrimp, corn, and sausages (potatoes optional). We used to throw in halved lemons to the pot too! Oh, I miss the days when my grandmom threw these parties. Oyster roasts too--dang, now I'm hungry!
@taffy technically, this shot is one I took at the event before the one you saw (so it's three years ago now). This shot was taken with my point and shoot and it's better than the ones I took last year; it sure gets me hungry (and my clients too!). It is the best family and friends gathering I can think of!
ooooh...that was that FABULOUS meal! It's been hours since I had a hasty dinner of leftovers, and though it's the middle of the night, I'd happily tuck in a bib and join you at the table! What a beauty!
