RVAC Show--Atlanta Celebrates Phototography--18th Annual Juried RPS Show
Last night was my opening photography exhibition! Some really talented photographers out there and it was great to see all the winning shots. Such a variety of pieces, and I fell in love with many. Was proud to have mine there, but I was really out of my league. So surprised to have friends and family come--so I've included a couple of shots we got collectively! A wonderful night.
As we're all somewhat a Family of Photographers, we applaud the success of our own! You're far too modest about being "out of your league"! It's the variety brought to a show (as here on 365) that makes the collection interesting! And "juried" certainly means you were a winner before the doors opened to the public! Congratulations!
You're an amazing cook, a great instructor/writer, a beautiful person inside & out , a soul with golden heart, and a talented photographer. You're lovable & that's why your friends & family came over there. I even felt special when I took pic with you ❤
Wow congratulations Daryl what a great achievement! You are definitely not out of your league! Great collage with a lovely portrait of you! Wonderful memories to treasure!

It was really fun to see the different approaches to similar subjects. There were several categories (people/animals; landscape/nature; architectural/travel; abstract/stilllife). I only entered a few shots because it you are chosen, you must frame them--it gets expensive very fast! I realized at the show that I could recognize certain photographers for their work without seeing the name, and I loved that! I was able to introduce my friends and parents to some people who have inspired me this year in my photography society (although I have yet to make many friends there--it's a bit hard, but I'm trying). Anyway, it was a fun night and having my work up on the wall for others to see was a real thrill. It will be up for a whole month too!
So wonderful to show your stuff. I have not joined a photography club because they all seemed stuffy to me. Plus you have to do all sorts of things each month. Not my style. You have some lovely framed shots. Well done. Keep up the good work.
@kali66 to be fair I onlybgo on critique nights bevause of my limited time. I have made one nice friend there and ibreally see it as a way to get feedback. Also, it's a big club! Largest in Atlanta area.
