Decaying by darylo

Decaying

Today, I sat in the cold with some coffee hoping to catch some winter birds in the yard, but no luck. I have had some sunflowers I bought two weeks ago from a roadside stand (on an honor pay system--love that), and I've had them outside, but they've hit their beauty limit. I think decaying flowers work as excellent black and white subjects, so here is my effort. Today I'm working diligently on a contract I have, and at the same time I'm tackling a major house cleaning (did downstairs yesterday; today is the upstairs).
Wonderful shot ,Daryl. Fabulous detail.

With these sort of B&W shots it is so important to get really good focus - just like this! fav

@markp Mark!!! Have missed you. Hope you are well. I've been so awful about seeing what anyone posts, so if your posting, my apologies. Year 2 has been very hard to keep up with others. :( But I do hope you are well!

@darylo Hi Daryl, yes I am fine thank you. I kept posting till June then had 4 months off,but now I am back. I was still taking photos most of the time, but I was just doing too many other fun things to actually get around to post them. Slowly working my way through the backlog plus some new shots as well.
Hope you are keeping well.

Just checking in, and I enjoy your choice of B&W on this one. It has a classic Edward Weston feeling. I hope all is well with you.

@grammyn I'm working on an education project (a report--lots of entering information in an excel sheet so I keep things straight). I was dead tired from the housework, but I "got er done" and I'd be happy to come see you! Miss you lots. Oh, and today, Oh Katy, if you come back here, you have, have, have to go to Old Car City where I took shots today (may have the rest of the month's shots--I'm so behind and am finding "one a day" hard to do with everything), but what a crazy place. 6 miles of walking paths and just old rotting cars, trucks, busses, etc. everywhere. Been there since 1931! And I thought of you dear Ross! @rvwalker YOU WOULD LOVE THIS PLACE! Well, I think. I know I've fav'd a bunch of your shots of cars! How appropriate that you checked in right before I went on this photo shoot. Oh, and Ross, (Sorry, Katy, roping you in on this thread), I hope you are well. I think of you often--wondering if you are camping, ice fishing soon, and hopefully everything is well with Linda too. AND we hosted another Japanese student. I'm becoming an "American HaHa (mom)". Ok, enough catching up. Shoot me an email if you get a chance (Katy and Ross!). :)
