What a perfect nest hole! You can see a SHADOW of a chick on the second on the right photo. The food in the mouth the first photo on right, and the last on right feeding!
I go to the office park to search out birds sometimes and I had my window down and just listened to find this little family. I'm getting good at hearing, but I was drawn to the woodpeckers chirping because they don't sound like this normally in non-breeding season! Thrilled to be finding nests. The focus is not good on most of the shots, but who the heck cares! :)
@grammyn I'm not one to say anything about spelling--I'm a horrible speller and then I am awful when I'm on my phone. :) Thanks Katy! It was so exciting to see this! My ears are well-tuned to birds these days. :)
