So behind on my Bali/Japan photo project, but I begin again!
In the ancient town of Panglipuran (sp), I witnessed the wonderful old homes, an engaged couple taking their announcement photo (in traditional garb), and the bamboo forest at the far end of the village. Along the paths are the depressed rain "drains" so waters will not flood the homes or the street.
Inside one of these ruts was a mother and her three chicks. The drain was so narrow that she is literally squashed in there to make room for her babes. At one point, she turned around and stepped on one of the chicks and it flattened it like a pancake (I have a very imperfect shot of that moment!).
I've been experimenting with some LR features I just learned (the "targets" to the left of the hue, luminance, and saturation sliders and the targets on the tone curve). Wow, I had no idea how to use these and they are super good when you want to concentrate on one color within the photo. I was able to make the green very brilliant without making the whole thing turn green (thus the idea of a "target" application). I am also playing with the white balance dropper more (although, admittedly, I really don't know how it works).
Will be uploading more now that I've been editing some in my convalescence. Again, thanks for all the well wishes. I'm tumor free and no signs of cancer. :)
Fabulous photo!! The subject is so interesting!! Love that you are learning LR. I would have no clue. Most of all glad to hear of your healing and healthy prognosis!!
