I spent a day in Asheville, NC before heading back to Atlanta with a stop in Brevard, NC to see my aunt and her partner. My intention this night was to get up over the other side to witness the sunset and try some ND filters because I attended a talk on how they help with creating a soft effect with water and sky.
1) I forgot the filters (actually, I didn't, but at the time, after searching my bag, I never found them--but they were there) STORY. OF. MY. LIFE
2) I decided that I was going to stop chasing sunsets because the fact of the matter is I do not have the patience to be a landscape photographer--I took three of these and then watched the sun go down.
3) When I got back to my hotel, the sky was such an orange--so I didn't need to go up the hill, but the Blue Ridge Parkway is such a treat, I'm glad I did go
Super nice layered image. Fab :-)
I know eveything about searching-the-bag-problem... Could it be 'old' age, searching for the glasses, the character maybe? No! It probably is the husband who made a mess again... everywhere ;-) LOL
The fact that you have more FAVs than comments is a clear indication that this is a most spectacular image. of course I'm going to be adding my FAV to it and why in the world is this not on the PP?!
