Jumping Bales of Hay at the Wingfoot Classic XC Meet
Used the 100-400 handheld today because I forgot a mount for the monopod. The light was directly behind me and on the athletes. It was like a sports studio made just for me!
Amazing day. Our high school won the championship for 3rd year in row, and our top runner (you have seen him on my album) just acquired 3rd place in the NATION! Holy cow. He came in 2nd at the race, so the guy in front of him was 2nd in nation--it was an amazing finish that I DID NOT GET because the little truck that went ahead of the front place runners stopped RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME as I was trying to capture the shot. I was pretty peeved to be honest!
Anyway, I have a great one of the two of them jumping the hay, so I'll upload that one next. This was my favorite shot (not our team, but a great team with awesome runners).
