I'm still in awe of my day. I am going to upload all of my Botanical Garden shots to my Shutterfly account and I'll put a link if you are interested in viewing from there ( https://darylohare.shutterfly.com/2116). It's such a hassle to upload multiple photos and I don't want to be a pain for anyone. I'm not sure how to do the private to public again thing and well, I do want folks to see them if they are interested.
The collection is mostly orchids (17 in all after paring down from at least 60). I was proud of myself today, taking my time, using various lenses, checking settings and doing manual focus when I could. I've come so far. I felt that today and it was even better because I went with one of my best friends who's a pro and used her new camera. We both got all the way down on the ground and in all kinds of funny positions to get our shots. So many other photographers out today too!
So sharp and clear, Daryl -- the color is brilliantly captured and the details in the flowers are as well. And then you have this wonderful composition with the title to go with it. It sounds like a perfectly wonderful day! Looking forward to your link for the others.
Thanks very much everyone! I have uploaded my shots from the day. So pleased. If you have time, take a look. I hate to ask, but if you are interested, as some of you have mentioned, here is the link: https://darylohare.shutterfly.com/2116
@darylo What a great collection! I particularly liked the two that were sort of optical illusion types (a monochrome and the green one). These were really stunning and convey how beautiful the gardens were.
beautiful shots. my favourites were the palms. this is wonderful too. glad you had a great day and were able to take shots you were really happy with :-)
Corker just a corker!!! @darylo and after spending most of last night looking at Natural History shots at Camera Club last night i very nearly ran like the wind... But i really do love this!!
They look great, Daryl, but I need to look again on my big screen computer. The laptop just doesn't do them justice. I'll check again after I wake up more.
@rvwalker Thanks so much Ross! BTW, did you notice I switched my profile photo back to the Year One shot? I think it's been your positive comments about it that made me decide that it needs to be there instead of the artsy failsy one I did at the start of the year. Will work on a new one (perhaps and updated glasses view!).
@shepherdmanswife Thanks. The crazy thing is that it really is true to color. It's in a "rain forest" complex in the botanical gardens and it stands out among all the greens, greys, and browns. It's a real stunner! Thanks so much for the visit.
@jaynspain mine were the palms too. I loved the patterns. I also loved the pond swirl below the fountains (it has a swerve pattern--an abstract). Thanks for going to look at them. :)
