On the way home from an outing with one of my dearest friends, whom I do not see very often, I stopped in front of a hardware store to take this shot of a cemetery as the sun started to wane. The grass was so beautiful and the lines were striking in an abstract way given the very unabstract and very real presence of dearly departed soldiers.
For processing, I used radial filters on all stones that had writing and then I used a graduated filter to provide additional clarity for the grass and then I upped the saturation ever so slightly. I also did this shot in BW to see the difference: http://365project.org/darylo/didn-t-make-cut/2014-06-10
