A friend and I went to Concord today to see an exhibit at the museum. Concord is a classic New England town less than twenty miles west of Boston. For a small town, it has had extraordinary historical significance, both to do with the beginning of the American Revolution and as a great literary and cultural center in the nineteenth century, which is the part that has been important to me.
Concord is upscale and extremely well preserved today. It is full of beautiful old houses. This one is near the Old North Bridge, where the first battle of the Revolution took place. I like the house for its yellow color and the soft willow green doors as well as its classic lines and beautiful old windows.
