This tree goes nicely with the famous Sunflower House, which is on the flat of Beacon Hill at the corner of Mount Vernon and River Streets. There's nothing else like it on Beacon Hill or anywhere else that I know of.
I looked up the history of the house. It was built in 1840 and transformed in the Queen Anne style in 1878. Artists lived in the house in the 19th and early 20th century. It is still a private residence and was on the market for $4.5 million a few years back.
You can just see the sunflower carving under the gable on the front of the house.
