We're having a lovely snow storm, with high winds stirring up the snow into almost white-out conditions at times. Our favorite weather man now says Boston could get up to 18 inches of snow before it ends tonight, and more snow might be coming Sunday night into Monday.
This is an unedited view out one of our living room windows this afternoon. (I wish I could get the cars out of the picture.)
I've had a nice day indoors. Most things are closed today, and in general I think people have been heeding the governor's request to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary and let the crews do their work. It's good to slow down, collectively, once in a while and stay safe and sheltered.
They put the wipers up so that they don't get frozen down onto the windshield.
I notice you live in New South Wales. I lived in Cronulla, NSW as a child for two-and-a-half years when my father's work took us to Australia. It was a long time ago now, and I've never been back but will always have a fond spot for Australia. I remember Sunday drives to the Blue Mountains -- Katoomba and the Three Sisters.
@deborahsimmerman thanks for the info.
We are about 1 and a half hours from Katoomba, in the lower Blue mountains. We have many trips to that area as we have frequent visitors from OS, but I never tire of it.
My sister lives in Sutherland Shire, but we haven't been to Cronulla for years.
