I went back to the Arboretum today to see the lilacs. Sunday was supposed to be Lilac Sunday, but the prediction is for rain and high winds that day, so it's been changed to Saturday. I prefer to come on a quiet weekday afternoon anyway. I'm afraid the lilacs might get battered by the storm Sunday.
I love purple and green together, and I love almost all the colors lilacs come in. The Arboretum has the second largest collection of lilacs in the U.S., so there are some of every hue.
