We had the family over again today. Most of the grandchildren were sitting on the dogs bed in the window eating crisps of varying kinds. I asked Emily to lay across their legs she was happy to oblige.
At the point that I took this shot Uncle Richard threw wine over himself and looked liked he had wet himself you can see their various reactions
looking forward to you starting your 100 strangers, if I could give you a few tips,
-take your time, there is no rush
-practice some portraits / headshots of your family
-if someone says no (which is very unusual, move on, don't try to make them change mind , thank them)
-use a real camera, not a phone, it gives you more authenticity
-set your camera up before you approach them (ISO and aperture)
-be polite and respectable, be yourself
-get a little contact card printed and give it to your stranger to allow them to contact you for photos
-it is very addictive once you get started and are confident !
Happy New Year
Oh and there is a 100 strangers group on flickr too
@yoland thanks, that’s what I liked about this one @ljmanning she often looks like that sadly she doesn’t spend much time with her cousins and is sometimes at a bit of loss with them. @ingrid01 thank you, I love them to all so different
