In the 1970s my mom started a collection of cups and saucers for me. Anytime I went somewhere I was suppose to buy a cup and saucer. This is part of my collection. I thought about donating some of them to the church for a project because I am sure the girls won't want all of them after I die, but I wanted to make sure I didn't give away any that my girls would want. In the end I didn't give any of them to the church. Each one has a story behind it and I am far more sentimental about them than I thought I would be. I put a slip of paper inside each cup telling where and when and why it was purchased, as best as I could remember. Some I have no memory of. The girls will just have to deal with them all after I am gone.
