The bonfire

We went to a big bonfire for Guy Fawkes the other night. It's a good way for farmers to have a big tidy up of old tree branches and get them out of the way.

We are also Guy Fawkes free. I agree it is a good way to clean up debris as I'm sure farmer do in a safe way.

Yes exactly what we used to do & sometimes under cover of darkness burn the odd naughty thing that might make a bit of smoke in daylight!!

Back in the olden days when I was young all the kids celebrated Guy Fawkes day with great gusto. When you got your pocket money kids would go down to the nearest newsagent or other shop that sold fireworks and study the display for ages before parting with the pennies. By November 5 there were lots of crackers to light out in the street.
