This is the view from one of the schools that I work at - there's a dairy farm right over the back fence!
Quite sadly, all the schools in the district are not allowing calves at their Agricultural Days, because of the threat of further spread of mycoplasma bovis. Calf club days (or ag. days) are an important part of the country schools' year - this time most are opting to encourage the kids to bring lambs, goats or chickens. I am not sure, but it may be a nation-wide ban on calves being taken to schools.
What a lovely view from the classroom its a wonderfully captured rural landscape Dianne, how times change, when I was at school we collected bulls eyes, heads and other items from the abattoir across the road to be dissected in the biology class (it was an all boys school)
@dide At least it was out of sight on the far side of the cattle market just across the road from our school but still in range of the smells Dianne, lol:)
