I have been wanting to ride my bike out to Karioitahi, but the conditions need to be right as the road is often crazy busy. This evening the road was quiet and the weather cloudy, so no sunstrike for drivers. I had a lovely ride in the cool and then did extra, clocking up 30 km. (It’s a ‘pedal assist’ bike so gives me a better range.)
You certainly have to pick and choose routes and times with NZ’s crazy drivers. Had to stop walking around our block in the morning, due to the mass exodus of commuter traffic. Used to be unusual to see more than one car at 6.30am
I wish I'd been able to keep my e-bike, but the roads round here are just too busy for me these days. My balance is rubbish and I just can't afford to fall off (with or without cars). I'm so envious of you being able to rock around on this magic steed.
pedal assist...
Great shot and view!
