A view of the road down to Karioitahi Beach. The hills and farms are very dry and we are badly needing rain. The cute yellow bus belongs to North Shore Tramping Club who were walking from the river mouth to Karioitahi.
@arthurclark this is the road down to the beach - one way in and one way out. We live about 3 km away so this beach is our ‘local’. We are more likely to be here in the evening, as it gets very busy on hot summers days.
@kwind not so wow really ... the beach is classed as a road and you get all sorts - some are fishermen and fairly sensible while others are hoons doing donuts etc near people. Another downfall is getting stuck and the tide washing over. We won’t begin to talk about the rust appearing underneath for unsuspecting car buyers!
