Light at the end of the tunnel

While we were waiting by the tunnel for big logging trucks to arrive, a lone cyclist appeared. What an amazing guy - he was cycling across the widest part of the North Island, via back roads. (From East Cape to Cape Egmont - AND back!) He stopped to talk to Chook and I could hear their voices from the other end of the tunnel.
