We lost two of our Clematis vines, and it looks like we might lose another. Our ground is not conducive to raising flowers. There is too much limestone and clay, making it quite hard. This one seems to be doing ok so far. It's a young one that has bloomed. I really like its darker colors.
How pretty! So sad about your garden- maybe raised beds would allow you to put in better soil and grow things? It's a lot of work but you two both have green thumbs and I'm sure you'll figure a way around the soil issue.
