I have a few old Kodaks, I haven't used the Brownie yet but have taken a few films in a Haweye that I flipped the lens in. I'm also in a facebook group that is solely dedicated to kodak brownie. Thanks for the link and here's one using portra
@kaldara That looks in very good condition! @ingrid2101 That sounds very interesting Ingrid and these images have a real charm. I have a very old and battered one put away somewhere which belonged to my Grandmother, must look it out. I know there is a photograph of her somewhere taken on the Brownie when she was on her honeymoon in Paris in the 1920's so must try and get a copy.
@ingrid2101 - I never quite got my hawkeyes to play nice with the flipped lens. I have two extra bodies laying around from all the tinkering. I think I went through 4 in total, and still never got the look you seemed to have been able to achieve.
Ultimately, you can still find 620 film. Technically, its 120 respooled. If I am not mistaken, B&H in NY sells it via the web, and they ship everywhere. I know I tried doing it myself, but if you are anything like me (all thumbs) then perhaps buying it is the best bet.
A box Brownie was my first camera! My Dad gave it to me when I was 7 (it was his). Sadly I no longer have it. Didn't make the move from Australia to the USA.
