Find the best Daffodil, photograph it and post it. I love daffodils and want to see as many different varieties as I possibly can.
So I followed my own advice and here is my shot of seven different and different coloured daffodils in my vases. Thank you so much for all the posts - it has made my day. :-)
@daffodils60 I love daffodils too . . . I don't know why I don't have more. I started my project in October and our spring has been so funky they haven't done great . . . I guess that's why!
Okay, I did as directed. I read the post, grabbed the camera, and walked around the yard in the wind. I like the centers of these.
[edit] I forgot I had one already, my 100th
Our daffodils in Minnesota haven't bloomed yet, but my husband brought me a bouquet from the daffodil days when they are sold for cancer awareness. I was setting up a shot to do a close up, and my Sophie jumped in to the shot just as I was getting ready to snap.
Wow thank you everyone - this made my day seeing all these daffodils, every single picture was awesome. I wish that I could have daffodils all year long. They are my happy flower and looking at them always makes me feel good. I live in the Daffodil centre on Vancouver Island on the Saanich Peninsula, where at this time of the year daffodils are grown in large farms and fields and just pop up everywhere - its wonderful. Thank you all once again for the beautiful photos.
@nic365 You did a great job - I am just learning but this has been fun seeing how many types and ways the daff can look. Your light made great shadows.
@mrsharkleroad Thank you - they are so beautiful and I was amazed at how many people have responded and I am enjoying the pictures, I hope you are too.
What a challenge for a 'Daffodill' :)
I have taken several, but this fun one called Charismatic Daffodil
(taken to mark St David's Day)

And then one sunny day later....
I find daffs notoriously difficult to photograph but the lighting was just right for this one!
and they also have lots of color as they dry up:
First signs of spring... I love the richness of this yellow.
