@positronicmommy
The funny thing was, when I approached them, I thought it was only one. It wasn't until after I'd taken a shot or two did it register that I had two bugs on that leaf.
I liked how this bug on my windshield ended up looking like a giganto-bug in the road. (Snapped with a cellphone while driving in a parking lot, so forgive the quality.)
@positronicmommy they are Christmas beetles - down by a creek in Brisbane. They are very bright and pretty. @curiousmomworm true - I'd rather keep them at a distance though I'm sure they don't hurt.
Oh, these are just awesome! I actually love bugs...outdoors where they belong. ;) I'm a butterfly lover and have raised quite a few, though none of those photos are on this computer. I have just loved going through these--thanks, everyone, for sharing them!
@positronicmommy

Bathroom window guardian. I love when these guys are outside the windows. And when they're inside the windows we work real hard to catch them before our cat does and get them outside where they can find some dinner!

Another Klingon, slightly less adorable

And of course my most viewed, most faved photo of all.
With so many fantastic pictures on here I only put mine up because, as a total phobic about spiders, there is a certain pride that I managed to get close enough to take this shot!

@espyetta Great macro!
@housetohome Those are so pretty in a creepy "I hope it never touches me" kind of way!
I love all the ones where they're looking at you. It adds a whole new level of creepy/coolness to them!
@curiousmomworm true - I'd rather keep them at a distance though I'm sure they don't hurt.
@jench65 That bee is beautiful... and terrifying considering I'm allergic to them.
