I really enjoyed capturing some moments of our ANZAC day celebrations today. Would love to see yours. For those who don't know.
ANZAC Day – 25 April – is probably Australia's most important national occasion. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The soldiers in those forces quickly became known as ANZACs, and the pride they took in that name endures to this day.
This was taken during the dawn service this morning.

Another from this mornings service. I live in a small town but it was a good turn out :)
Some wonderful tributes here. This was a shot taken a few years back as part of my PNG retrospective project of Dawn Service at the Bomana War Cemetery. This is the largest grouping of Australian War Dead in any of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's cemeteries.
and finally, the World War One Memorial at the Town Square in Villers-Bretonneaux taken on Anzac Day last year. The town of VB was liberated by Australian Troops on the 25th of April in 1918, marking Anzac Day as a very important day in the local calendar, not just a day of remembrance from the many Australians who visit there each year.
