Having a little 'writers block' and falling into the routine of using some fillers but need a new angle. I am wondering what inspires you?How do you keep your shots different? What keeps interested?
Having recently suffered what you refer to as "writers block" I took on some challenges and found that was really helpful. Also going through my 'favs' and trying to copy or emulate one of them.
I've got several ongoing series, One of them is my sky series. I've taken lots of moon pictures. Now, you'd think the moon wouldn't look much different except in size day to day but in fact the atmosphere really changes the look as well as the fact it looks different at different stages. It's something spectacular really yet it's just the moon. So, stop looking for something that isn't there and concentrate on what you are seeing every day.
The more you do this 365project the more you will notice the details and that is where you will find your pictures. A good excercise is to stand or sit and take pictures from that point. Don't move away but allow yourself to be able to rotate. Take as many pictures from there in 5 minutes as you can. Look near and far. Don't rule anything out. Doing this from time to time will help train you eye to see something quicker and therefore you won't have to look for it.
Also, checkout meetup.com. It's a great site to find photography groups or groups where people like to do similar things that you like to do. Take your camera everywhere. Sometimes just changing our routine will inspire us to look at our daily life in different ways.
I really struggle with inspiration too as I'm not a creative type... I usually end up wandering around the garden or taking a picture from a window as I can't think of anything better! I'm at home a lot this month and thought I'd be stuck for ideas but then I found the august photo a day challenge which has given me a focus for each day http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/13725/august-photo-a-day-fatmumslim#comment-410489
Challenges and themes are a good way of getting the inspiration going again for me. The 'get pushed' challenge is a really good (if a little scary) way of trying something new and this week I noticed that somebody has set themselve the challenge of doing a 'rainbow week' Red on Monday, yellow Tuesday etc etc
