What I noticed even more than the invisible moms was the somber, unhappy little children. Not the kind of portrait I'd want of my kids!

interesting indeed....I thought, before seeing the words below the pictures as to why the mothers were covered, that the mothers were scarred or possibly sick when the picture was taken. I enjoy seeing pictures like these. I have some some old photos of my family members framed and hanging on my walls at home.

@istacy1011 thanks for sharing....i have seen some of these before......how very odd. I wonder what types of things people will look back on and think were strange...when we are long gone..? fun to think about
