In the wake of all the 'follow me' threads, and in the spirit of giving back, I thought we could maybes have a bit of fun with it. (sorry if anything similar has been started recently, but hell, we all love a good thread)
I follow people whose work I really admire..so give a shout out to the last person you followed or followed you, a photo and the reasons why.
It's a great excuse to share each others fab photos. Plus, who doesn't love a shout out.
My shout out goes to @bridie - it looks like she's only been here since the start of the year, but there's not one photo I don't like! Excited to see what else this lady can do!
The last person I followed was Angela Giusto @3whiteroses
I don't usually follow people unless I see a few photos that I really like but having just seen her 'Daytime Moon' and previously her brilliant 'Childs Play', I was happy to follow her.
The last person to follow me was Heidi, who i was already following, due to shots like this: @heidit
@gphelps5 Thanks! :)
Yes, the last person I followed was Bulldog which I already thought I was following from almost the get go because of his great take and interpretation of things. So I corrected that. :)
The last person to follow me was Traci and I really like this image of hers. @l2lumom
@sarahpeterson
Id like you to follow her. She is 2 days new here. And she is only 15 years old. I think that is amazing. Her Mom also started with her. They want to learn and go. So please stop by and help them out on this journey.
The latest person I chose to follow is Moni @eeniemoni . It was this shot that caught my eye, but there's something wonderfully simple about her style that I really like.
Although he got me into photography to begin with and helped answer a lot of questions I've had about all things photography related, my buddy @psyber_0ptix seems to be a ghost lately. He is a great photographer. Hope all is well, wherever you are.
@amyamoeba Great idea!
My latest follow is @roadshow. I am excited to find someone new who is local to me, and I really love her photos. Some of them really capture the essence of our shared rural location, like this one below. I have a similar photo taken at a different farm on the same stretch of road
And this one:
I also like her other types of photos too
Gemma @gemtumble for me is my faverate follow never too serious and great fun not to mention every now and again she pulls a gem out of her hat her concern for cold sheep is legend and she never fails to inspire..:-D
I stumbled on this picture by @photogirl, the detail of the snowflakes was breathtaking for me. I looked at some of her other pictures and knew I definitely wanted to see what she would put out every day :)
I've just started following Vladamir Smekal - @vsmekal . My attention was caught by this wonderfully poignant shot but a quick wander through his album made me want to see more of his work :
I "discovered" Cathy (@calm) when she posted her final photo to complete her year in 365. I went through her album and thought her shots were inspiring for a relative newbie - within my first month. Here is one of her more recent shots:
i began following Alison Bailey @dulciknit yesterday for this striking cogwheel in the snow. Her landscapes are quiet, yet striking and beautifully composed.
@fungirlslim is the last person to follow me. This is her favorite of mine because of the subject matter and the song she's paired it with. After losing 4 loved ones in under 3 years, with two more loved ones who are terminal now it speaks to me.
The last person I followed was @lauriehiggins I started following her because she lives in a place I once lived and I still love and miss. I love this one best so far because there's nothing like a burning sunset..
The last person I followed is Daniele Zanni. Because of this image, which I find to be the most exquisite image that I've seen in a long time. He's very creative- capturing unusual pieces of life with a fresh eye.
Basically, I will follow anyone who follows me. If someone is interested in what I do, I think that I should be interested in what they do.
Arnold @eosmusician is the last person I followed.
Here is a shot I really like in his album:
Stacy @newbie is the last person to follow me. Stacy has a very ecclectic album that has a lot I like. She has done a couple of low key shots lately. I really like this one:
Kevin McKay @kevinmackay followed me first, I returned the follow not only because I like his work but because he also lives in Christchurch. This photo has the most amazing colours.
One of my favorite things about this website is seeing photos from all over the world. This is one reason I started following @bb who lives in Sweden. I just love her landscape and ocean photos, which are one of my favorite subject to view.
@jwlynn64 Thanks for that John. I had seen you comment on my work a few times, and somehow I thought I was already following you. (One tends to lose track) When I noticed I wasn't a follower I went and had a look at your stuff and deemed you interesting enough for my tastes to follow.
I really like this fisheye look!
@farscapephotography
I just started following Simon. I am sure you have all seen this amazing snow on the dock photo that is on the PP right now...and he has many more that I really liked!
Mike Hamm was the last one to start following me...@mikehamm
Here is his shot for the mundane challenge/jar pic. I thought it quite good and a creative idea....
The last person who followed me... @violettaphoto
She has a creative eye and I can't wait to see what else she'll be doing. I appreciate her following my work as well.
I recently started following @still_beachradish who I remember from when I first started in 2012. She stopped 365 sometime last year and it is brilliant to see her back again. Her shots are amazing and so unique. I love her use of negative space.
I started following Mariya (@mariyakey) because of the shot below. I thought her project would turn out to be a light-hearted, fun one to follow, and I haven't been disappointed.
(That, and because she's from Kazakhstan... I'd never met anyone from there before, and for me, the more cultures you get to know, the richer your life becomes. :-) )
ok, not the last follow, but since no one mentioned fabulous Bart adventure (by lovely Alysha @theadventuresofbart ), Ill shout it! =))
Love every single one =))) cant wait for more! =)))
@dwamboldt is my latest follower and she is new to 365. Of her 25 photos, I like this one the best. Yes, I love Goldens and I really like the expression on hers in this photo.
I recently started following deb @scarlttau because I saw one of her photo's on new faces and loved all of her pictures! They are bright and colorful with interesting perspectives:)
@christabug i followed her cos most of her pictures are never think about like u never think of taking a picture of a can but she does and make it look great
@swizz You have helped me in a major way. I had just posted a thread about how I don't have any interest in picking up my camera because I lost 5 years worth of pictures. Then I saw this and realized that I have to keep taking pictures. Your shout out to me helped put things in perspective. Thank you so much for the shout out.
My most recent follower/friend is Tom - he joined recently and he's looking good for a great year...
This is from @valerianvali I started following her yesterday.
I don't usually follow people unless I see a few photos that I really like but having just seen her 'Daytime Moon' and previously her brilliant 'Childs Play', I was happy to follow her.

She's been here over a year but not a lot of followers. I love her style.
@davehawkins is my newest follower. He seems to be in his 2nd week here and is putting some good stuff up!
@cockoftherock is the newest person I'm following and this image absolutely blew me away.
I have been following for a little while :-)
Although he got me into photography to begin with and helped answer a lot of questions I've had about all things photography related, my buddy @psyber_0ptix seems to be a ghost lately. He is a great photographer. Hope all is well, wherever you are.
And I had a hard time deciding which of his photos I like best in between
and
Thank you, John!
The last person I decided to follow was @midumas because of his photos of Quebec (I'm originally from Quebec), like this one
Merci beaucoup, Michel!

@lifeinphotos
I loved this pic posted by Denis and started following him. Shooting birds in flight is so difficult and I really admire the way he captured this one
I recently followed @k1w1. I don't recall how I found her, but this photo totally drew me in. Kind of took my breathe away.
@amyamoeba
Thank you so much for this shout out thread.
awww, Trina, thank you so much for this. So kind of you.
Thank you so much for the shout out. So very nice of you. I'm a bit speechless....
The last person I followed was @lauriehiggins I started following her because she lives in a place I once lived and I still love and miss. I love this one best so far because there's nothing like a burning sunset..
and I love this portrait of this sweet little girl-- so beautiful!!
