Thought it would be nice to share our favorite photos from our first month on 365. Doesn't have to be the most viewed/fav'd/commented, just the one you are most proud of or means the most to you. Tell us a little bit about it as well.
i know there are other threads about your favorite of the week but this is different - honest! This is just for us newbs and it covers an entire month - there you go, completely different!
Actually trying to choose is really difficult. Good luck.
I'm most proud because it was set as a get pushed challenge and it was something I had never attempted I had seen the term 'Bokeh' but did not really know what it was. The image took a lot of takes to get it how I felt it was adequate
This is mine. As i said not the most viewed shot i have taken. I chose it because it was a candid moment that i managed to catch on camera. The set up shots are fun and rewarding when they come right but to me there is nothing like the feeling of capturing the perfect moment
so far..this is mine. I really like the contrast in the blacks and whites. Besides the fact that he looks just too adorable and those lashes are astonishing:) it was taken in high contrast and i liked the results
OK, OK, I know I chopped off Levi's head, but there's something about this photo that I love. So many legs off the ground, the fact that if you view it in large you can see Jess's eye intent on the green rope, the fact that this was the first time that Levi, who we've had for years, and Jess, who we've had for weeks, properly played together. For me, this is my 'happy memory' photo of the month :)
I like this one a lot at the moment... I like how it feels sort of '50's. I meant to take the clothes against the sky, but my boy looked mighty cute in the basket...
We were at the airport during a layover and my son was watching the planes leave on the runway. I love that his reflection was in the window and the expression on his face as he watched the planes.
hello again George :)
My fav of the month has to be Matilda's wellies at the beach :) It was a grey cold day, but her wellies made it a brighter day :)
Turned out so much better than I had anticipated. I grabbed the flower from the garden and took a bunch of shots and to my surprised I ended up with something I really liked.
First post of a picture in a reply, hope it works.
I like this because it's simple and very " of the season". The picture is quiet, looks calm, but the children weren't!
I think this is my one of my favourite ones because I have started to learn more about composition and lines since starting this project. I also love the trees against the snow and it has lovely memories being out with friends for a lovely walk in the middle of nowhere.
This shot sort of sums up the change in my attitude to photography. On a foggy morning I took my camera with me to a hospital appointment - I'd never have dreamt of such a thing before Christmas! After the appointment I noticed the wonderful light and searched for a photograph!

So I think I followed the instructions to post a photo but somehow it hasn't turned out how I expected. Any clues for a newb who still doesn't have a clue?!
Anyway if you don't mind clicking on the link, I chose this shot because of the colours , reflections and it is just as it was, no processing.
This is mine, day 5. I was out to take some shots of a fire. This firefighter had just stepped out of the burning house, and into the winter air. You can se the steam around his head, I like this one.
I hate to see a missed opportunity to get it on the threads...so here you go...... @ccb
Next time @ccb choose a pic, and scroll down to the right next to the share button. There is a place where you can copy and paste the link you need to all these threads.
I start a thread go to the cinema, come home and have all these amazing photos to look at. there are things i want to say about all of them but not tonight!
Rebecca we have those wellies - they have been passed down through all of our children. We also have the frogs and the bumble bees!
This was my most challenging just because it is hard for me to ask a stranger for permission to photograph. So, it's a favorite for me because I did ask, and I am moderately satisfied with how it came out.
I really like this one of mine. Not the most viewed or faves but its still my favorite. I just like how its the reflection in the water that has the color and the branches appear to be black and white when in most cases the opposite is true in reflections. Anyways, i just really like it for some reason
Wow looking at everyone's pictures makes me feel like mine are lousy in comparison.
I like this one because each streak of light is one of my friends running down the river waving a light. To me it's a reminder of the great times we had.
There are some really amazing shots here. I really love what a warm and supportive community this is. I was actually thinking the same thing the other day.. what photo would I choose as my fav of the month. I still have 2 days to go, but I'm really happy with my shot from today & not sure I will top it.
I feel I have been learning so much already and this shot encapsulates some of the things I've been learning & I had to work for it a bit, chasing the bubbles around in my windy yard!
I'm a newbie, too, and really enjoying the 365 project! I've loved seeing incredible photos, and thinking every day about my pictures. I was pleased with this shot that I took at sunrise looking across the Willamette River in Portland. I loved how soft and pink the city (and the train station) looks in the photo and how the reflection adds to the shot. I'm hoping the link works:
Another cow as well it might have not been the best taken but its the most interesting cos you dont see a real size replica of a cow in a garden especially a rainbow one in Australia
I'm going with this one because it was the most fun and surprisingly easy. I could have shot smoke for hours. Its was so unpredictable and interesting.
This snap of an exhibit at a paper exhibition, a book of sonnets made into roses. I was really pleased with the focus. I only really like 2 or 3 of my photos so far, I'm having a very slow start this year, but really trying to take something, anything, every day!
I'm continually amazed and inspired by everyone on this site. I will choose this one for myself. I was so excited about the focus and detail on these "frozen tears" off my table.
Wow, it's almost February already! The past few weeks have been amazing and so, so inspiring. And I've got such wonderful feedback, thank you guys!
This one was a great find, I took a walk in a nearby cemetery and came across this slightly withered rose and a small angel ornament. Probably someone had had their own photoshoot session before me.
I've been doing 365project for approx six weeks now and I am slightly obssessed with it, facebook is a thing of the past. I love it! This picture was my day two and it made the popular board so I am really proud of it! It was taken at a local country park near where we live, in England UK.
I sporadically participated in the Planned-4-Jan Challenge, and one day's topic was Rainbow. As my collection here indicates, I have plenty of stuff that fits that topic. This photo came out just as I wanted.
I looked through all the pictures above, and I just have to say great job, everybody, on finishing your first month. I just finished my first month tonight, and I've enjoyed doing this quite a bit.
Looking back at my photos, I'd have to say this is my favourite picture. It was a hard shot to take, because of the angle I had to work with, but I was quite happy with the result.

I love the colours in this one. I was in a hurry to get to work but couldn't resist the beautiful sky and had to take my camera out.
I like the setting from this photo, the boats that are frozen in the water.
And ofcourse this lovely sunset
This is my favorite, because it took me about an hour to get the setup right :)

This picture has a clarity about it that I like.
Lots of good ones on here.
this is mine
I feel like I can do this better but it's my first long exposure shot and I've always wanted to be able to do this.

wow what an amazing shot!! Nice capture!
Where was your photo taken? It reminds me very much of the Rhone, the houseboats and plane trees.
This is a favorite of mine! I like how you can see all the details in the mushroom!!
This is my favorite. I just barely got this shot. Was stupid and tried to get this with a monopod. Yeah right! I am glad that I didn't miss it.

@graycie
This is my fav as it shows my dog in a completely calm state. Perhaps it is a face only a "mom" could love!

I choose this one 'cos I "MacGyver'd" a macro lens...with gaffa tape! Perhaps not something to do too often!
Thank you very much!

Just finished my first 30 days. This was my favorite picture for the first month.
I like the colors here and how candid it is. This is after a foul was called in a basketball game.

@jojackson i know exactly what you mean!

I like the colour.
